Skinfood Rice Mask Wash off (Exdoliation) Review

Hi Lovelies!

Hope you all are doing well. Today I am going to review a face mask from the famous Korean brand Skinfood ‘Rice Mask Wash off’ which I am using for past few months. This product was in my wish list for a long period of time as I have heard quite a few good words from my blogger bestie Clara and few good reviews from other bloggers too. I was quite confused before purchasing this product because I believed amazon was selling this product at a much higher price, but I had to pick this up so I couldn’t resist myself from getting this, so yes!! Today I am reviewing this much raved product finally after several usages.

Let’s get started now

What the product claims:

A wash-off mask that transforms skin into pure and soft texture, moisturizes skin and brightens up which contains rice bran water.

Water, cetyl ethylhexanoate, caprylic/capric triglyceride, cyclopentasiloxane, cetyl alcohol glycerin propylene glycol, oryza sativa (rice) bran water, stearic acid, polysorbate 80, hydrogenated jojoba oil, glyceryl stearate, peg-100 stearate, butylene glycol, sorbitan stearate, carbomer, dimethicone, triethanolamine, sodium acrylates copolymer, sucrose cocoate, tocopheryl acetate, disodium edta, methylparaben, imidazolidnyl urea, butylparaben.

How to use:

After cleansing, gently massage with ample amount over dry face avoiding eyes and mouth area. Concentrate around nose area and repeat it using grains. Rinse with lukewarm water after 10 to 15 minutes of massage.

I don’t know the actual price of this product, but I got this at 1150(INR) for 100gm from here Click

My take on the product:

The product comes in a semitransparent white color sturdy plastic jar with a white plastic lid on the top. Packaging is quite handy and the jar contains all the information about the product, expiration date and other information related to the product. This mask has a strong smell of mushed rice, it may bother sensitive noses, it has a perfect consistency for a facial mask as well as a scrub, not watery but little runny whipped cream like product which will not drip off from your skin while you are applying it. It looks like almost milky white mushed rice mixture with fine scrub like particles blended along with. I use this mask twice in a week after washing my face with Plum Hello Aloe skin loving face wash. I take the desired quantity and gently massage all over my face and neck for 2 to 5 minutes , leave it 15 minutes and then wash it off. I could see the instant soft and brighter looking skin after each application, my skin looks really supple and I couldn’t feel any dryness, and it makes my skin look so refreshed on the dry and dull parts of my face like chin area or so. This mask is my ultimate favorite skincare product till date and probably the best scrub I have ever used after Ma Earth Botanicals ‘ Rose Face scrub’. The best thing is that, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and I am quite happy for that! J

·         A single product can act as a facial mask as well as a scrub
·         Perfect consistency for a face mask with fine scrub particles for exfoliation.
·         Doesn’t dry out skin and keep skin moisturized.
·         Makes skin soft, supple and brighter looking after each application
·         Doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin areas
·         100gm jar goes a long way

·         Strong smell can bother sensitive noses
·         Jar packaging is not hygienic, better to use a spatula to scoop out the product while using
·         Less availability, had to pick up this product at much higher price from amazon

Overall I am super impressed with this product and it has become my Holy Grail face mask and scrub these days! I would recommend this mask to all skin type beauties as it doesn’t irritate my sensitive dry to combination skin and I feel it will definitely not make oily skin more greasy or so but can balance the perfect hydration of skin.

Thumps up to this product!

4.5/5 (deducting 0.5 for the jar packaging)

That’s all for today darlings!

  1. Lovely post, thanks :)

  2. Nice review. I have heard a lot about rice masks, but haven't tried any. This seems good but pricey...
