Mac ‘All Fired Up’ Retro Matte Lipstick Review, Swatches, LOTD
Hope you all are doing well. Today I am here to review a
lipstick from Mac which I am wearing a lot these days. It is also in my current
favourite list. I am talking about the shade ‘All fired Up’ which is a retro
matte lipstick from Mac and it comes under their permanent category. It is a beautiful
red-toned fuchsia which is not so bright but is pretty wearable for almost
Indian skin tones I guess.
It is described as a
bright fuchsia retro matte finish
Price:
Pigmentation:
It is intensely pigmented; within a single or two swipes you
can get the almost opaque look.
Staying power:
Staying power is good enough up to 5 hours for me with
little bit of fading.
This lipstick comes in a black sturdy typical Mac lipstick
packaging. For me ‘All fired up’ is not that much bright, but a red-toned
fuchsia which has very subtle blue undertones, and pretty much wearable for
almost every Indian skin tones. May be for very fair skin it may look more
bright but I find it as my go-to fuchsia. It has a mild vanilla fragrance. Now
coming to the texture,It is very light weighted which feels like really light on your lips after application, I found it little drying and need to put lip balm or
exfoliate your lips before wearing this lipstick. Otherwise if you have dry
lips, it will start crumbling over your lips and make the application uneven.
So proper moisturisation or exfoliation is required to achieve a smooth even
finish. I always put lip balm underneath for any extreme matte lipstick I wear to avoid flakiness and patches. It has really good pigmentation; one or two
swipe is enough for full coverage. It has the wear time of almost 4 to 5 hours
with little fading after meals and leaves a pink stain on your lips.
Pros:
·
Sturdy packaging
·
Highly pigmented
·
Wear time is pretty good almost 5 hours with
little fading
·
Perfect matte finish
·
Beautiful shade
·
Suitable for almost every Indian skin tones
Cons:
·
Drying formula
Verdict:
Overall I am in love with this lipstick, though it has
slightly drying formula but it is intensely pigmented and long wearing, truly
perfect for matte lovers like me. This particular shade is really beautiful and
suitable for Indian skin tones.
