Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer in Shade 'Poppy Pop', Review, Swatches, LOTD
Hope you all are doing good. Today I am here to
review a perfect summer lip colour for you guys. Clinique does not require any
introduction right? Owning a Clinique lipstick has been my wish for years but somehow whenever I went to buy it, I ended up buying my favourite Mac. Greedy me ! But on my last
visit to Shoppers Stop I somehow restricted myself from buying not more than one, from the Mac counter and finally bought a beautiful bright poppy shade from Clinique.
So let’s start with the review now.
Luxurious yet weightless formula merges bold, saturated
colour with a smoothing primer. Glides on effortlessly to a modern-velvet
finish. Colour stays true, keeps lips comfortably moisturized for 8 hours.
Allergy Tested. 100% Fragrance Free.
Price:
1600(INR) for 3.9gm
Availability:
Any Clinique store
Pigmentation:
Great pigmentation. Just one or two swipes needed for full
coverage.
Longevity:
This range is really long wearing, can stay up to 5 to 6
hours easily with a retouch after heavy meals.
The lipstick comes in a square angled tube packaging which
consist of a metallic finish cap on the top and coloured portion which holds
the lipstick bullet on the bottom. The lipstick bullet is secured inside the cap
and whenever you open the cap you need to give little
pressure which indicates that the cap is tightly locked, and that nothing can ruin
the lipstick surface. You can easily identify the shade from the bottom part as
it appears to be the same shade as the bullet. Now coming to the texture, it is
really very smooth and creamy in nature and most importantly it is very
hydrating. As the lipstick is blended with primer, you don’t have to worry
about your dry lips, flakes and rough surface or fine lines. The primer part of
it will create a smooth surface and you will be happy enough to get a smooth
even application on your lips. So girls you don’t have to worry for your lip
flakiness after some hours of application as it is capable enough to keep your
lips smooth and soft. It has no fragrance and has really good colour
payoff, only one or two swipes needed to achieve opaque but satin finish. It is
not at all drying rather very hydrating and keeps your lips moisturized for
long hours. Staying power is also decent; it can stay up to 5 or 6 hours with retouch after heavy meals.’06 poppy pop’ said to be a mid-toned orange
colour. It is bright and appears kinda medium toned orange-coral shade on my
lips. Perfect for fair to medium skin toned beauties!
Pros:
·
Classic packaging
·
Lipstick comes with primer
·
Smooth application
·
Decent staying power
·
Good pigmentation
·
Gorgeous shades
·
Can hide fine lines and removes flakiness
Cons:
·
Nothing as such!
Verdict:
Overall I am happy with my purchase, creamy smooth textured
lipstick which can easily hide your fine lines and rough lip surface, gives you
an even smooth intense application and long wearing too. I would recommend this
range to my dry-lips beauties who wants to try some lovely poppy shades to rock this summer. I would also like to try other shades from this range.
