Review on The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso UV Protection Cream SPF 30 PA+++

Hello Beauties!!

Today I am going to review the Body Shop moisture white Shiso UV protection cream SPF 30PA +++, ohhhh that’s a huge name. I tried their Vitamin C daily moisturizer with spf and I liked it a lot. I recently finished it and instead of getting a replacement got this Shiso. I have been using this product daily for last 2 weeks and thought of sharing my experience with you guys.

So let’s start with the review.

What the product claims:
An easily-absorbed, oil-free cream with SPF 30 and PA +++, to help protect the skin against both UVA and UVB rays and the formation of dark spots and skin discolouration.

My take on the product:
The product comes in white tube packaging which is very sturdy, soft, squeezable and convenient for everyday use. The cream is very light weight in texture, non-oily but not creamy, after applying the cream you will never feel any oiliness or greasiness on your hands. It gives a matte finish after application. The Vitamin c one gave me a shiny look, which I liked more as I have a dry and little dull skin. Initially you may feel there is some white cast while applying, but for that you have to put little effort with your finger and it will get absorbed and disappear completely leaving your face with a matte finish look. The good thing is that it will never leave your skin dry, so dry skin people can also use this. It has a mild fragrance which is not going to bother even sensitive noses, cool right!! I am using this moisturiser daily followed by my bb cream. Though it doesn’t give my skin any kind of shine, but this is gradually evens out my skin tone near the chin area. I can also feel my skin soft and supple with a radiant look. According to their ingredients list, the main ingredient -Shiso is a Japanese herb which helps to reduce the production of early melanin before it triggers, so it should work for pigmented skin too. I do not have pigmentation but little skin discoloration near my chin area, and I can see little improvement there. It does have the UV ray protection along with the SPF 30; therefore it prevents daily sun burn and tanning. I am using this moisturizer daily before 30minutes of sun exposure. I don’t feel any breakouts after using this.

·         Packaging is very sturdy and handy to use
·         It does not feel heavy in skin
·         It is suitable for all skin types as it is totally non-oily
·         Mild fragrance
·         Great ingredients
·         Prevents sun burn and tanning
·         It does not make your skin feel dry or patchy
·         Works on pigmentation and skin discoloration

·         Little difficult to deal with the white cast after applying, so really need effort to spread over the skin
·         Pricy

Overall I liked the product, great for daily use as it protects from sun tan and skin discoloration. I would recommend this more to the oily skin people as it gives a nice matte effect preventing oil secretion mainly from t-zone area. I have little skin discoloration near my chin area as I said and this moisturizer is working slowly to reduce that thing, so hoping to get a good result there. I can’t say this is a must have product but if you really want a luxury moisturizer which work on your uneven skin tone and fights with tanning process than you can definitely grab this beauty.

That’s all for today.

  1. Too good if it works on pigmentation! :)

    1. I will update if I find any remarkable change with my skin discoloration.

  2. Will it be scary to wear under foundation if lot of photographs are to be taken?

    1. Not at all, you will only have to put a little more effort with your finger while applying. The white cast will be totally get absorbed and disappear eventually.

  3. Oh! la! la! It's expensive but worth a try :)

  4. I have spotted this one a few times in the store but skipped it cause its a bit pricey.. However, if it does lighten dark spots I will surely get it!

    1. Yes Rajshree, shiso is very useful for reducing the production of early melanin growth, it definitely works on pigmentation. My mom loved this shiso range a lot as a product named target perfecter from this range is totally did the wonder with my mom's skin. She developed some pigmentation near her nose and cheek area and that perfecter did magic reducing her pigments and thus she blindly trusts this range.:-D

  5. This is very pricey. But it sure sounds good. Exactly what you expect from TBS.
