Forest Essentials – Luxurious Ayurveda Haul

Hi friends,

Hope you all are doing well. Today I will be sharing a haul post with you.  Last Sunday I spend a wonderful time at Forest Essentials, Forum Mall, Kolkata, discussing all about Ayurveda skincare regimen and I came up with some daily care products, all suggested by their skincare expert. It was a very long conversation that ends up very well with my skincare solutions.

It was my first visit and I was left enchanted by the ambience of the shop. When I entered the shop It felt like I am in middle of a flower garden! The skin expert was pretty good, she handed me four of the products suited for my skin. I did a swatch testing with all the four products before buying them. Finally they packed my goodies with care in a handmade paper box which had a lovely embroidery work, they even put some flower petals inside the box which made it smell extremely lovely.

Now to the four products that I have bought:

Lightening and Brightening Tejasvi Emulsion:

Forest Essentials Tejasvi Night Emulsion is specially formulated by combining unique natural moisturizers along with selected Ayurvedic herbs to provide extraordinary fairness, smoothness and suppleness to the skin. Cow’s Ghee is used as a carrier (Yohavahi) for herbs because of its supreme penetrating qualities and ability to carry actives of herbs deep into the skin. Cow’s Ghee along with Coconut oil and Organic Beeswax soften, nourish, protect and strengthen the skin tissues. Active herbs like KasturiManjal, Peepal and Banyan leaves are very potent antioxidant agents which help reduce the damaging effect of free radicals. Specific herbs like Akashneem and Jivanti makes the skin tone lighter and brighter and keeps it flawless. Regular usage of Tejasvi Night Emulsion enhances elasticity of the skin leaving it with a lighter fairer skin tone, supple and youthful with a noticeably soft resilient and ‘plumped’ quality, and a radiant glow or “Tejas”

Madhulika Nourishing Honey Lep:

A nourishing Facial Pack made with Organic Raw Honey mixed with nourishing herbs, flowers and fruit make a highly nutritious Lep. Honey's natural antioxidant and anti-microbial properties help to protect the skin from the damage of the sun's rays and replenishes skin moisture, leaving it feeling soft and supple. Honey absorbs impurities from the pores on the skin, making it an ideal cleansing agent. Raw cane sugar is a natural humectant and helps to retain moisture in the skin. Finely ground Orange peel helps to remove tan and brighten the skin tone. Sweet Orange Essential Oil is a natural astringent and anti-oxidant. Almond oil from sweet almonds is the nutritious, adds glow, and deeply moisturizes the skin. Sandalwood is an antiseptic, retains moisture levels, tones, purifies, cools and soothes the skin. NagKesar has skin retexturising, toning and firming properties. Vetiver is an antiseptic, that detoxifies and cools the skin. Anantmool is very effective for acne and pigmentation and evens skin tone. Mulethi is a multi action herb that nourishes, helps in skin-lightening and is a great glow booster. It contains several antioxidant compounds which instantly rejuvenate and revitalize dry dehydrated and mature skin, giving it a smooth toned feel and texture.

Roop Nikhar & Gulab Facial Ubtan:

Ubtans, made from finely ground herb, flower and root powders which are sundried and ground by hand, are used as cleansing scrubs or as face packs for deeper exfoliation. They are made into pastes by adding a small amount of the appropriate liquid, usually rosewater, milk or yoghurt; until the mixture achieves a smooth and creamy consistency. They contain Neem leaves that act as purifiers for the skin. Finely ground Orange Peel helps to remove tan and brighten the skin tone. Anantmool is very effective for acne and pigmentation; it evens skin tone and smoothes texture. Camphor is effective in purifying, cooling and clarifying the skin. Rose has cooling, soothing and moisturizing properties, and is naturally hydrating. Sandalwood or Chandan oil retains moisture levels, and it tones, purifies, cools and soothes the skin. Turmeric or Haldi is a strong anti-oxidant that prevents the ageing of the skin; it evens out skin tone and colour. Saffron gives the skin a warm glow.

Mashobra Wild Honey, Lemon & Rosewater Facial Cleanser :

The first rule of Ayurvedic skin care is to cleanse tone and nourish. The secret to proper cleansing is to remove dead cells and toxins, clear clogged pores and clean make-up without stripping the skin’s natural oils and moisture content. These Facial Cleansers contain Olive Oil, is a source of anti-oxidants that neutralizes the free radicals that damage the skin and accelerate the aging process, it also moisturises and helps in skin-rejuvenating. Anantmool is very effective for acne and pigmentation. Kumud helps in firming and toning. Royal jelly contains amino acids, a basic ingredient in collagen, which is essential in maintaining firmness of the skin. Nagkesar has skin re-texturising, toning and firming properties. Lemon Essential Oil is refreshing and uplifting for the skin. Honey absorbs impurities from the pores on the skin, making it an ideal cleansing agent. Steam Distilled Rose Water is a natural astringent. It tones and rehydrates the skin.
